The fuel in the external tank has been expended so it's time to drop the tank and start the orbital track to reach the space station. We are now in outer space! This is quite an historic event - the last launch of the space shuttles that have ferried satellites and human beings into space for the past thirty years. I look forward to the future manned space projects that will continue to bring people from earth into the near outer space of our earth and far beyond.
