I had recently promised Zackery that one day this summer we would go on a venture to see a big cave. For some reason this past Friday, Zackery thought that this would be the weekend we would head on out for this venture. He said he had written it down in his journal.
When I told him we really hadn't planned out
the trip to a big cave for this particular weekend and that we'd be going sometime later in the summer, Zack got sad and said his journal would be wrong then.
Grandaddy being a sucker for sad kids tells Zack that the cave is very far away, but maybe
if we get up really early in the morning before the sun comes up maybe we'll drive out to see this cave.
Around 3:50 A.M. Grandaddy is woken up by Zack - "Grandaddy, is it time to go yet?"
...so a little later that morning, we get up, get dressed, and head out for a 3-1/2 hour drive to see a big cave.
