This is "Black Kitty", also called "Drac" by the grandkids. Black Kitty is a good friend of mine that I picked up at the pound several moons ago. How I came about that is also a story in itself, but I'll spare the words on that one for now - or if you're inclined you can read it here. I've had lots of kitties, but Black Kitty is extra special. He follows me around everywhere I go even hopping into the truck when I open the door. He jumps up on the table and tries his best to eat off my plate and gives me a stern "MEOW!" when I tell him no. Whenever I sit, he sits next to me. Whenever I sleep, he sleeps next to me. Whenever I go outside to leave whether it be work or somewhere else, he follows. On the occasions where he doesn't try to jump into the truck with me, he'll sit on the porch and says "Meow" as I shut the truck door (probably as an "Ok, I'll be here when you get back.")
This picture was taken one day when sitting on the couch while helping the grandson do some Legos. Black Kitty gave me a nudge and said "You're gonna pet me now." Ok, his words were actually just "Meow", but the nudge helped with the translation. He does this quite a bit too.
...and as I write these words, he continues to bump his head into me and push his claws into my arms, likely a way of saying "Quit fooling with that computer thing and pet me now."
He's a good kitty.
