This tree growing into the fence wasn't an experiment but was intentional. I had a grumpy neighbor that gave me lots of grief over the years and he hated this tree and wanted me to cut it down. Since he was so grumpy I decided to leave it there just for him. He's passed on, but I still let this tree grow just for him anyway. :-)
