One thing I did differently this trip is to spread out a bit of Sevin dust where we were planning on sitting to see if it would deter the ants from the area. I checked before putting out the dust and of course there were lots a ants scurrying about as usual. About half an hour after putting the dust out, I didn't see a single ant where we were sitting. The ants never came back this whole weekend. The dust worked great!
