Once I got to the top of the incline (at the bottom section of the rock bluff where the cliff wall actually starts), I spot something unexpected - a small cave. There is an obvious layer of rock at the bottom of the cave and an obvious layer of rock at the top of it with a line of some sort of less dense material in the middle. I bet this is the sort of stuff that geologists love to see. It looks like a small stream of spring water has dug this hole in the less dense layer over years and years. I wonder how long it took to make this 2' diameter hole - maybe 10,000 years or so? ...or more?
