Sunday evening rolls around and Cyndi and I watch the bats fly around us catching the bugs. I had put out a few piles of corn the night before and a hog had come around Saturday night to eat them... or so I think. I had heard a noise in the woods and got up to see a hog roaming around the bluff on Eddie's land. I'm thinking he may have come over this way that evening to eat some of the corn. Late Sunday night (maybe around 4:00 in the morning) I heard some noise back in the woods, but was too lazy (and sleepy) to get up and see what it was. A few minutes later I heard something eating the last pile of corn near our tent. I shined the spot light out the window and low and behold, there was a hog just a stone's throw away from where we were sleeping. I woke Cyndi up just in time for her to see the hog give us a quick look and scamper on off. That was sure something to see, a wild hog just outside of our tent. I sure wish I would have had enough sense to snap his picture, but I sure wasn't prepared for that close of an encounter while we were sleeping. Maybe next time.
