I take this serene snapshot of the river after reloading my camera and head back down to where Ashley and Mike are in hopes to get some more pictures, but I hear the thunder roaring nearby and start thinking that there isn't going to be much time before we need to leave. The road is too muddy to park the truck at the camp and it will be a world of trouble if the river rises too much for us to get out.
