The loss of the Challenger and its crew were also highlighted along with the memories of folks that were supporting that mission. I was in high school when this incident occurred and although I wasn't working for the space program at that time my father was along with a number of folks in the Houston/Clear Lake area. The Challenger incident was a heartfelt loss for our community.
