The video shows the faces of the folks that I had worked with that were lost when Columbia fell apart. I worked directly with these people, met them all, and supported them through their training for this mission. Rick Husband and Kalpana Chawla had both given me signed picture collages of previous missions they had flown on thanking me for the work I had done to support the shuttle program. William McCool had given me a signed picture of himself just before his first shuttle flight on this mission thanking me for my support. I see these pictures hanging on my wall daily and remember these people. There is a sadness in my heart for this loss, but also a happiness knowing that they supported the dream of sending humans into space and didn't falter at the risk involved in doing so.
