Here I am at the bottom of the solid rocket boosters when I went on my tour of the launch pad. Taking pictures was discouraged, so I didn't snap too many shots of my tour, but I do have to mention that my most interesting memory was when I was taken to the top level of the launch pad. There sat a young girl in a chair as happy as could be and when I asked her what she was doing up there she noted that her job was to sit at the top of the launch pad and scare the birds away if they got too close to the shuttle. What an interesting job.
