On my last trip out here, I had done some testing for the STS-122 flight. Today, the shuttle Atlantis was returning from that flight. This was my first time to see a landing. It went really quick. There were two loud sonic booms, then the shuttle dropped from the sky as a little white dot just before touching down on the runway. If I would have blinked, I would have missed the whole thing.
