This Thanksgiving wasn't quite the traditional one for us, but it was a good one nonetheless. Generally our family gets together for a traditional feast with the mom's, dad's, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and lots and lots of cousins we have in our family. I personally look forward to the Georgia peas Cyndi's mom always makes at this Thanksgiving meal. This year, the kiddos weren't feeling well, so Cyndi took them to the doctor and they were diagnosed with a bout of strep throat the day before Thanksgiving keeping us at home and them in bed most of the Thanksgiving day. We didn't make it to the traditional family feast (oh, I miss those Georgia peas), but I was surely thankful for the opportunity to go and visit with my parents for a short bit today. ...and we were all quite thankful to Luby's for providing us with a good Thanksgiving take out meal (minus the Georgia peas) for us to enjoy in lieu of the traditional meal we usually have at the annual family gathering.
