I can't conclusively say what caused this particular fire in Bastrop, but I can say that driving along the highway in this time of Texas drought, that I see numerous areas of burn damage from grass fires and all of them appear to come from fires that start along the edge of the highway. What would cause all of these fires to start along the edge of the highway? It's people that flick their cigarette butts out of their car windows. If you happen to be a smoker and aren't willing to quit this deplorable habit... Please, keep your 'butts' inside!
